General Information

Spain are the number one footballing nation in the world and it is easy to see why with a squad packed full of talent, experience and quality.

Four years ago at Euro 2008, the Iberians finally ended a long and miserable drought on the international stage and delivered an end product to the high levels of potential which had seen them touted as possible champions.

After conquering the world two years later, Spain will now seek to sustain their dominance in Europe and they have a major chance of doing so – especially after qualifying for the finals in Ukraine/Poland so impressively, winning all of their matches in bloodless fashion.

Chances

Although Spain have a tough group, they are expected to seal top spot but may have to settle for a draw in what should be a tight opener against the Italians. They will be fancied to get stronger as the tournament goes on and Germany may be the only team capable of preventing a title defence.

Key Player: Xavi

Experienced midfielder Xavi is the beating heart of Barcelona’s success at club level and his passing ability and football brain will be equally vital towards Spain’s overall chances of lifting the trophy.

TitanBet Prediction

Runners-up - Spain should easily make the final and it will take something special to prevent Vicente del Bosque’s men from following up on the continent. But Germany displayed a huge amount of promise and potential at the 2010 World Cup finals and they could be the team to upset the favourites.
